"She Who Ruled Us was created from one of Gracie's last Howliday photos for 2000. I began the painting the summer of 2001 to add to her collection and then she got sick.

She passed away September 11, 2001 and I put the unfinished painting away. I haven't been able to look at it without crying until just a few weeks ago.

'She Who Ruled Us' I dedicate to all of us, slaves to our Princesses as they become the Queens of our hearts."
