Pam Tanzey has been drawing dogs since she was a little girl. She began freelancing twenty years ago Illustrating My Little Pony, Pound Puppies and Thomas the Tank Engine storybooks and coloring books. Since the spring of 1990 and the addition of her first Basset Hound Gracie, she has devoted herself to Canine art.She has illustrated the Better Breeding column and features for the AKC Gazette since 1993. Her work has received 21 nominations by the Dog Writer's Association of America for excellence in illustration. She has won 3 Maxwell Awards.

Pam lives with Duncan and Phoebe, her Basset Hounds and young horse Lady Mystie in the shadow of the big black Pyramid in Las Vegas.
