"The Dream Catcher Farm Horse Sanctuary is an organization based on the premise that all creatures should live free of cruelty.
This non-profit charity is established for the purpose of relieving the suffering of horses and ponies from abuse, neglect and slaughter. We wish to provide them with a caring home for the rest of their days.
Money is always a pressing need for horse feed, shelter and welfare, especially during the winter when visitors are few and fundraising is difficult. We depend upon the help of volunteers and supporters to keep the sanctuary alive. Your support can help the sanctuary continue to help rescued and elderly equine.
We are a non-profit organization under IRS 501(c)3 regulations."

NEBHR is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Everyone involved with NEBHR is on a volunteer basis only and members reside throughout New England. We receive no financial compensation for our efforts. Like you, we all have jobs outside the home, have families, and other important commitments. We do basset rescue because we want to help save homeless hounds and place them in good homes.
New England Basset Hound Rescue, Inc.
is always in need of foster homes throughout New England. We do not have a shelter that houses our rescue dogs, they live in our homes and are treated like a"member of our family".
This gives us a great opportunity to evaluate the dog in a "home setting." The hounds that we can't take into our foster program stay in their old homes or a shelter until we refer people that want to adopt in their direction.
Thank you. © K. Fortier

Glamorous Gracie
Another best friend of mine who passed over the Rainbow Bridge on September 11, 2001. Therapy dogs were greatly needed in Heaven that day, and Gracie answered that call. She was famous in her own right being the inspiration of the famous cartoon strip "Gracie". She was the model for a lot of the art of her human Pam Tanzey. You can see her work and Gracie's famous poses by clicking here.Pam and Duncan miss her a lot!

Pupdog
My best friend Pupdog, was not but a year with us, before he was killed by other male dogs in the area. He will always be missed. Someday, when I cross that Rainbow Bridge, I pray he will be there with wagging tail to greet me. You are in our hearts always Pupdog.

Lil Lise
My darling Lil Lise. She was with me from the time she was 6 weeks old until the end at 15 years. The loss of her will be felt for a long time. My wonderful husband had this picture created for me at Christmas, it's better than any diamond.
Whenever I begin to feel blue I just breathe.
