Cruisin' Through The Day!

Do you recognize that handsome, dashing profile! Yep that was ME a while back before we moved to the Silver State. I have been the Star in a lot of Mom's work since I was a little baby. Heehee, here's one it's called Hush Little Puppies and was in an invitation only art show at the Bohem Gallery called THE SHOE SHOW.

I wanted you guys to know about Mom's Blog. Yep she has one too but doesn't have too many entries in it. I'm about to change that for her. She's shy. Here's the link for it http://fromthecrowsnest.blogspot.com/

There's a couple of cool pieces nobody has seen. It's time to get stuff out of the drawers and out into the world. We have put quite a lot of the pieces up in Shawnna and John's On-line store, EvansRanchMercantile. John has worked real hard making wonderful new products out of the images that have lived for years hidden away. We are very proud of them! Some of the coolest bookmarks and mini prints and greeting cards I've ever seen! We are very excited about them! Shawnna has designed the whole store and added all the products. She's done a great job. We wouldn't have a clue about any of that and couldn't do it without them. We thank them both very much.

Well I gotta go have some lunch. I'm STARVED!

Congress is pushing a law that would abandon the Internet's First Amendment-a principle called Network Neutrality that prevents companies like AT&T, Verizon and Comcast from deciding which Web sites work best for you-based on what site pays them the most. If the public doesn't speak up now, our elected officials will cave to a multi-million dollar lobbying campaign.

The National Animal ID program was originally designed to give the big beef
producers help in getting export markets which required disease controls. The idea is that every single livestock animal in the United States will be
identified and tagged. All livestock animal movements will be tracked, logged
and reported to the government. The benefit is to the big factory farms who
probably do need this type of regulation. They get to do single ID’s for large
groups of animals. Small farmers, pet owners and homesteaders will have to tag
and track every single animal.

There are no exceptions - even small farms that sell direct to local
consumers will be required to pay the fees and file all the paper work on all
their animals. Even horse, llama and other pet owners will be required to
participate in NAIS. Homesteaders who raise their own meat and grandma with her
one egg hen will also have to register their homes as ‘farm premises’ and obtain
a Premise ID, tag all their animals and submit all the paperwork and fees.
Absurd? Yes - There are no exceptions under the current NAIS plan. The USDA has
slipped this plan in the back door without any legislation. This is going to be
very expensive and guess who is going to pay for it in higher food prices…
